Pigeon Perfect

One of our customers needed a solid shed to house their beloved racing pigeons. They ended up buying three of them!

These lofts, as they are known among racing pigeons, are built using solid and durable materials to keep these extraordinary birds safe from predators, protected from the weather and happy as Larry.

The subfloor is constructed from 100x100 and 100x50 ground treated timber (H4), and the flooring consists of 18mm treated plywood (H3). The walls are framed with 90x45 treated framing timber (H3) with plenty of bracing to withstand extreme weather events. The cladding is made of 18mm treated weatherboards (H3). The roof framing is made of 140x45 and 90x45 treated framing timber (H3) and the roof cladding consists of 12mm treated plywood with two coats of bitumen/rubber based paint. The fasteners are all galvanised and the door hardware is likewise exceptionally sturdy and durable.
